Iltalukemista

Posteljooni toi tänään tervetullutta postia Suomesta. Tiedossa on mukavaa luettavaa, kunhan saa ensin lapset nukkumaan.

Oggi il postino ha portato posta dalla Finlandia. Mi aspetta una bella lettura di riviste di arredamento quando le bambine saranno a dormire.

Today the postman brought me something nice from Finland. I will enjoy reading these magazines as soon as we get the children to bed.

Kaunista ja tarpeellista

Meillä on tällä hetkellä melkoinen säilytysongelma täällä vuokra-asunnossa, sillä kun jokseenkin kaikki kaapit, laatikot ja hyllyt ovat täynnä vuokraemännän tavaraa, omille jutuille ei ole oikein paikkoja. Summer Housessa käydessäni löysin pari juttua, jotka tuovat edes vähän järjestystä kaaokseen. Valkoiseen säilytysrasiaan ja koriin saa kerättyä vähän pikkutavaroita, jotka muuten lojuisivat jollakin pöytätasolla. Pikkuisiin ASA:n kulhoihin on kätevä riisua illalla korut tai kerätä työpöydältä pikkusälää. Tine K:n tuikkukuppia ja sisustuskirjaa en voi perustella käytännöllisyydellä, mutta ne ovat kumpikin kauniita. Nyt pitäisi vielä keksiä, mihin tungen villapaidat ja kengät, jotka eivät mahdu vaatekomeroon...

Abbiamo un problema di spazio in questa casa affittata. Con il fatto che quasi tutti gli armadi, cassetti e librerie sono pieni di cose della padrona di casa, abbiamo veramente pochi posti in cui mettere le nostre cose. Ho trovato da Summer House un paio di cose che aiutano a controllare un po' il caos. Nella scatola bianca e nel cestino posso raccogliere piccole cose che altrimenti sarebbero su qualche tavolo e nelle piccole ciotole di ASA posso mettere i gioielli quando li tolgo la sera oppure delle piccole cose che stanno sulla scrivania. Il portalumino di Tine K e il libro di arredamento non sono invece in nessun modo pratici ma sono tutt'e due molto belli. Ora dovrei ancora risolvere il problema dei maglioni di lana e delle scarpe che non entrano nell'armadio...

We have at the moment a storage problem in this rented apartment. Since almost all the wardrobes, drawers and shelves are full of the landlady's stuff, we have really little space for our own things. In Summer House I found a couple of things that help organizing at least part of the chaos. In the white box and in the small basket I can collect some of the clutter that's otherwise lying on some table and in the small ASA bowls I can put the jewellery that I take off at night or collect some small things from the desk. The Tine K votive and the interior design book are not so practical but they're both very beautiful. Now I should find a place for the woolen sweaters and shoes that don't fit in the wardrobe...

Summer Housessa

Tiedän, mistä osoitteesta lähtisin Bremenissä hakemaan sisustukselle oikeaa tunnelmaa, jos omistaisin kunnon kesähuvilan, ei siis mitään mökkiä. Ihastuin Summer House -liikkeeseen jo toissa kesänä, mutta löysin sen vasta kun olimme jo lähdössä Suomeen, enkä ehtinyt sinne sen aukioloaikoina. Sain siis vain ihailla näkymiä ikkunan takaa. Syksyllä ja tänä kesänä ehdin jo pistäytyä liikkeessä muutaman kerran ja nyt kävin jälleen kunnon visiitillä ja otin aika monta kuvaakin. Liikkeessä on tuotteita niin romanttisen ja värikkään kuin hillitymmänkin tyylin ystävillekin (kuten allekirjoittanut), mutta koko valikoimaa leimaa ihanan rento tunnelma.

Se avessi una villetta estiva, non solo una casetta, so dove a Brema andrei a cercare per ottenere lo stile giusto. Ho trovato il negozio Summer House già l'estate scorsa ma stavamo per partire per la Finlandia e non ho fatto in tempo ad andare a visitarlo. Ho potuto solo ammirare le cose attraverso la vetrina. Poi in autunno e quest'estate ci sono già andata un paio di volte e oggi sono tornata a visitare il negozio e a fare delle foto. Il negozio vende roba sia per gli amici dello stile romantico che per quelli come me che preferiscono uno stile più semplice. Tutte le cose hanno comunque un'atmosfera rilassata e proprio da vacanza.

If a had a big summer house, not just a small cottage, I know where in Bremen I'd go looking for the right style. I found this shop called Summer House (of course) already over a year a go when we were spending the summer in Bremen, but at that point we were about to leave for Finland so I only managed to admire the beautiful things through the shop window. Then in the autumn and this summer I finally got to visit the shop and now I went there again to have a good look and to take some pictures. The shop has lots of nice things for the friends of romantic style but also for those who prefer a more simple style (like me). The thing in common for the whole selection is anyway a really relaxed style, perfect for a holiday home.
