Nuori ikäisekseen

(FI) Mittariin rapsahti tänään yksi vuosi lisää ja sehän tarkoittaa sitä, että saa lahjoja! Oikeastaan yllä olevan kuvan lahja saapui jo muutamaa päivää aiemmin ja on ehtinyt jo vilahtaa blogikuvissakin, ja toinen lahja saapui tänään toista kertaa, kun ensimmäisen kynttilälyhdyn ripustustanko oli niin vino, ettei lasia saanut paikoilleen. Pääasia kai kuitenkin lienee, että lahjat ovat erittäin mieluisia. Lisäksi on lohduttavaa, että Wishbone-tuoli on jo 65-vuotias muttei näytä pienimpiäkään ikääntymisen merkkejä. Niihin numeroihin itselläni on sentään vielä matkaa ja yritän ikääntyä yhtä arvokkaasti kuin tuolini.

(IT) Oggi ho compiuto gli anni il che vuol dire che potevo avere regali! A dire il vero, il regalo che si vede nella foto di sopra è arrivato già qualche giorno fa ed è già stata vista di sfuggita nelle foto e l'altro regalo è arrivato oggi per la seconda volta perché la prima volta il giancio era talmente storto che il vetro non entrava nel suo posto. Comunque la cosa più importante è che i regali sono piaciuti molto. È anche bello pensare che la sedia Wishbone ha già 65 anni e non li dimostra per nulla. Io ho ancora tanta strada da fare prima di raggiungere quella cifra e cercherò di arrivarci con altrettanta grazia.

(EN) Today is my birthday and that means that I got presents! Actually the present in the picture above arrived already a few days ago and you may have caught a glimpse of it in the blog pictures and the other present arrived today for the second time since the hanging handle was so twisted the first time that it was impossible to put the glass into its place. Anyhow, the most important thing is that I really like my presents. It's also great to know that the Wishbone chair is already 65 years old but it really doesn't show. I'm still far from those numbers and I'll try my best to age as gracefully as my chair.

Aamukahvit auringossa

(FI) Ihanat helteet ovat hellineet meitä jo muutaman päivän, mutta lomaa saamme vielä odottaa, koska koulun kevätlukukausi jatkuu tänä vuonna heinäkuun viimeiseen viikonloppuun asti. Toisaalta lapsilla on sitten lomaa vielä syyskuun puolellakin. Tämä viikonloppu on melko musiikkipainotteinen, sillä huilistitytär soittaa huomenna kahdessa konsertissa ja on parhaillaan kenraaliharjoituksissa. Odottelemme jo kovasti myös kyläilemään saapuvia suomalaisia ystäviä.

Lomaa viettävä Ninja emännöi ystävällisesti tänäänkin lauantain kahviporukkaa. Kahvikupillista kuvatessani ikuistetuksi tuli samalla myös yksi innokas kukkakärpänen.

(IT) Il bel tempo continua già da qualche giorno ma dobbiamo ancora aspettare prima che comincino le ferie. Quest'anno la scuola finisce qui solo a fine luglio e le vacanze scolastiche continuano ancora in Settembre. Il nostro fine settimana è pieno di musica, visto che la nostra piccola flautista suona domani in due concerti e ha oggi le prove generali. Aspettiamo già anche l'arrivo degli amici finlandesi che verranno a trovarci.

Ninja è già in vacanza ma ospita lo stesso il circolo del caffè nel suo blog. Quando ho fatto le foto del mio caffellatte ho immortalato anche un sirfide indaffarata sui fiori.

(EN) We have enjoyed the hot weather for a few days already but we still have to wait for the summer holidays. This year the school holidays will start here only at the end of July and continue also in September. Our weekend will be full of music since our little flautist is playing in two concerts tomorrow and has the dress rehearsal today. We're also waiting for some Finnish friends that are coming to visit us.

Ninja is already on holidays but she's kind enough to host anyway the Saturday coffee club in her blog. When I took pictures of my coffee cup I also got a busy hoverfly in one of the pictures.

Kallat olohuoneessa

(FI) Päätin viime kukkakauppakäynnillä ostaa kokeeksi hienon värisiä kallan kukkia, ja ne tuntuvatkin kestävän vaikka kuinka pitkään maljakossa. Kukkien muoto toistuu ikkunalaudalla olevassa Mikko Helanderin Humppilan lasille suunnittelemassa Kalla-maljakossa, jonka olen saanut äidiltäni. Bertoia-tuoli muutti keskilattialle, sillä se jätti valkoiseen seinään ikäviä mustia jälkiä, jotka onneksi lähtivät pesemällä. Vapaaksi jäänyt seinänvieruspaikka ei pysynyt kovin kauan tyhjänä, joten lisää kuvamateriaalia olohuoneesta on odotettavissa lähiaikoina.

(IT) L'ultima volta che sono passata dal fioraio ho comprato alcuni fiori di calla di un colore molto bello e stanno duranto tantissimo nel vaso. La forma dei fiori si ripete sul davanzale della finestra nel vaso Kalla della vetreria di Humppila, design Mikko Helander, regalatomi da mia madre. Ho spostato la sedia di Bertoia in mezzo alla stanza perché lasciava segni neri al muro bianco. Meno male che sono riuscita a toglierli con lo straccio e non abbiamo dovuto rimbiancare la parete. Il posto dove stava prima la sedia non è rimasto vuoto a lungo quindi pubblicherò prossimamente anche altre foto del soggiorno.

(EN) When I last visited the flower shop I decided to buy some beautiful calla flowers and they seem to resist really well in the vase. The calla shape is repeated on the window sill in the Humppila glass factory Kalla vase by Mikko Helander that my mother has given to me. I moved the Bertoia chair in the middle of the room because it left black marks on the wall. Fortunately I was able to remove the marks with a cloth and we didn't have to repaint the wall. The place where the chair used to be didn't remain empty for long so I'm going to show you other living room picture in the near future.
