(FI) Hyvää uutta vuotta tätäkin kautta! Viime viikonloppu oli varsin vauhdikas, sillä teimme perjantaina päiväreissun Hollannin puolelle maan pohjoisosan suurimpaan kaupunkiin Groningeniin. Lauantaina juhlimme uudenvuoden aattoa suomalaisten ystävien luona ja sunnuntaina nukuttiin koko porukka puolille päivin. Ei siis ihme, jos vuoden ensimmäinen päivä tuntui kovin lyhyeltä. Vieläkin tuntuu olevan vähän kaikilla kahdeksalta alkavan koulun kanssa yhteensopiva unirytmi haussa, mutta onneksi on vielä tämä viikko aikaa hilata sisäistä kelloa oikeaan suuntaan.
Kuvien kaksiväriset kulhot ovat löytöjä käsityöläisten joulumarkkinoilta, jotka järjestettiin Bremenin raatihuoneella. Joululahjoja en sieltä löytänyt, mutten taaskaan voinut vastustaa kaunista käsintehtyä keramiikkaa. Pienempi kulho on Sigrid Groten ja Ulfert Hillersin Bremenissä sijaitsevan keramiikkapajan tuotoksia, isomman taas on tehnyt Steffen Bockstaller Worpswedessä. Viimeisen kuvan valkoisen kulhon olen ostanut jo joskus syksyn mittaan Anette Breun ateljeesta, joka on meiltä ihan kävelymatkan päässä.
Minun ennustukseni vuoden 2017 sisustustrendien suhteen on se, että aidot materiaalit ja käsin tehdyt asiat ovat yhä enemmän pinnalla. Luonnosta tuttu epätäydellisyys ja yksilöllisyys ovat paljon kiinnostavampia kuin viimeistelty perfektionismi. Tumma puu palaa sisustukseen, ja mikäs siinä, onhan esimerkiksi Raumgestaltin tummaksi käsitelty tamminen leikkuulautakin kaunis ja tyylikäs. Tarkempien väritrendianalyysien teon jätän suosiolla muille, mutta lämpimät ja kodikkaat sävyt ovat kyllä tämän vuoden juttu. Oma hyvinvointi ja kanssaihmisistä huolehtiminen ovat tietenkin myös tärkeintä teemoja, joten inspiroidutaan kaikesta kivasta ja kauniista, kuunnellaan omaa sisintä ja tehdään hyvältä tuntuvia ja hyvää tekeviä valintoja vuonna 2017!
(IT) Buon anno ancora una volta! Il fine settimana scorso è stato piuttosto intenso, visto che venerdì abbiamo fatto una gita a Groningen, la più grande città nell'Olanda del nord. Sabato abbiamo festeggiato capodanno con amici finlandesi e domenica abbiamo tutti dormito fino a mezzogiorno. Non è quindi strano che il primo giorno di quest'anno è sembrato brevissimo. Il ritmo sonno-veglia di tutti noi è ancora lontanissimo da quello che dovrebbe essere con la scuola che comincia sempre alle otto ma per fortuna c'è ancora una settimana di tempo per aggiustare la cosa.
Le ciotole a due colori le ho trovate al mercatino di natale degli artigiani che è stato organizzato nel municipio di Brema. Non ci ho trovato regali di natale per nessuno ma non ho saputo resistere alla bella ceramica fatta a mano. La ciotola più piccola è di Sigrid Grote e Ulfert Hillers che lavorano a Brema, quella più grande invece di Steffen Bockstaller di Worpswede. La ciotola bianca nell'ultima foto l'ho comprata già prima in autunno nell'atelier di ceramica di Anette Breu che si trova abbastanza vicino a casa nostra.
Io prevedo che i materiali autentici e le cose fatte a mano saranno sempre più attuali nel 2017. L'imperfezione e la variazione che si vedono anche nella natura sono molto più interessanti che il perfezionismo impeccabile. Il legno scuro sta tornando negli arredi e perché no, per esempio il tagliere in rovere scuro di Raumgestalt è proprio bello ed elegante. Lascio le analisi precise sui colori trend agli altri ma quest'anno le sfumature calde ed invitanti sono assolutamente in. Il proprio benessere e il prendere cura degli altri esseri umani sono pure temi importanti quindi lasciamoci ispirare da tutte le cose belle e buone, ascoltiamo ciò che dice il cuore e facciamo nel 2017 scelte che fanno bene e fanno starci bene!
(EN) Happy new year one more time! Last weekend was pretty intensive since on Friday we did a day trip to Groningen, the biggest city in northern Holland. Then on Saturday we celebrated New Year's Eve with our Finnish friends and on Sunday all of us slept until noon. No wonder the first day of this year seemed really short. We all still have our sleeping rhythms far from what they should be when the school starts at eight o'clock but luckily there's still one week time to go to the right direction.
I found the two-coloured bowls in these pictures at the artisans' Christmas market organized at the Bremen town hall. I didn't find any Christmas presents but I simply couldn't resist the beautiful handmade ceramics. The smaller bowl is by Sigrid Grote and Ulfert Hillers that work here in Bremen and the bigger one by Steffen Bockstaller in Worpswede. The white bowl in the last picture I bought earlier in the autumn from Anette Breu's atelier that's situated quite close to our home.
As to the trends in 2017, I predict that all authentic materials and handmade things become even more fashionable. Imperfection and individuality seen also in nature are much more interesting than fully controlled perfection. Dark wood comes back in the interiors and why not, for example the dark oak cutting board by Raumgestalt looks really nice and elegant. I'll let other people do detailed colour trend previews but warm and inviting colours are without doubt the thing this year. Dedicating time for one's own well-being and taking care of the other people around us are also important themes so let's get inspired by all the nice and beautiful things, listen to our hearts and do this year choices that feel good and also do good!
