(FI) Välillä taas vähän meidän omaa kotia. Alakerran sisääntulo ei ole todellakaan lempitilojani tässä talossa, sillä pintamateriaalit ovat mitä ovat ja eteinen on lisäksi varsin pimeä. Tilassa ei ole lainkaan pistorasiaa, mikä on varsin käsittämätöntä, ja porraskäytävän valot sammuvat itsestään, jolloin eteisessä liian pitkään puuhaileva saattaa yllättäen huomata olevansa pilkkopimeässä huoneessa. (Ja talvella tila lämmitetään irtopatterilla, johon otetaan virta jatkojohdon avulla kellaritiloista, sillä eihän täällä tietenkään ole myöskään minkäänlaista lämmitystä...) Pari parannusta on kuitenkin saatu kesän mittaan aikaan, joten tila saa nyt armon esiintyä kuvissa. Siirsimme penkin yläpuolella aiemmin olleen peilin kenkälipaston ylle, jolloin se heijastaa vähän tuulikaapista tulevaa valoa tilaan. Penkin yläpuolelle hankittiin Normann Copenhagenin Hang on -naulakko, johon tytöt saavat toivottavasti vastedes takkinsa ripustettua, ettei niitä tarvitse enää heittää penkille. Haluaisin tilaan mielläni ison maton, mutta sen estää sisäänpäin avautuva tuulikaapin ovi. Niinpä on tyytyminen vain pieneen mattoon, joka on portaiden ja penkin välissä. Valaisinpulmaan löytyi ratkaisuksi Fatboyn ladattava Edison the Petit -valaisin, jonka voi napsauttaa päälle siksi aikaa kun ripustaa takkia naulakkoon tai etsii oikeaa kenkäparia. Tuulikaappissa on lisäksi liiketunnistimella varustettu ledipolttimo, joka syttyy jo naulakon edessä hääriessä.Ei tästä eteisestä edelleenkään kummoistakaan käyntikorttia kodille saanut, mutta toimivuutta sentään löytyy jo kohtuullisesti.Mukavaa viikonlopun jatkoa!
(IT) Eccoci a casa nostra per cambiare. L'ingresso di piano terra non è per nulla tra i miei spazi preferiti di questa casa perché i materiali sono quello che sono e la stanza è anche piuttosto buia. Nello spazio non c'è nessuna presa elettrica, il che mi sembra veramente strano, e le luci della scala si spengono automaticamente quindi uno che passa troppo tempo nell'ingresso può all'improvviso restare al buio. (In inverno abbiamo qui un termosifone elettrico attaccato alla presa della stanza accanto tramite una prolunga, perché non c'è neanche riscaldamento a piano terra...) Siamo riusciti a migliorare comunque un paio di cose durante l'estate quindi faccio un'eccezione e mostro questo spazio nel blog. Abbiamo spostato lo specchio che prima stava sopra la panchina e l'abbiamo appeso appeso sopra la scarpiera, in modo che rifletta più luce nella stanza. Sopra la panca invece abbiamo messo l'appendiabiti Hang On di Normann Copenhagen. Spero che le figlie siano ora capaci di appendere le loro giacche invece di buttarele sulla panchina. Mi piacerebbe avere un tappeto grande per terra ma lo impedisce la porta vetrata che si apre verso l'interno. Perciò abbiamo messo solo un tappeto più piccolo tra la scala e la panchina. Il problema della luce l'abbiamo risolto con la lampada ricaricabile Edison The Petit di Fatboy che si può ora accendere prima di cominciare ad appendere la giacca oppure a cercare un paio di scarpe. Senza fare cambiamenti più drastici lo spazio non sarà mai bellissimo ma almeno è già piuttosto funzionale. Buon fine settimana!
(EN) Let's talk about our home for a change. The ground floor level entry is really not one of my favourate spaces in this house because I don't like the flooring or the other materials and there's not much light in the room. Another thing that's missing is a socket, which I find really strange, and the staircase lights turn off automatically so if you're too slow in the entry you can suddenly be in a dark room.(During the winter we heat the place with an electric radiator using an extension cord that goes to the closest cellar room, because there's also no heating on the basement level...) We were anyhow able to do a couple of improvements during the summer so I'll make an exception and show you this space. We moved the mirror that used to be above the bench and hung it above the shoe cabinet so that it reflects more light into the space. Above the bench there's now the Hang On coat rack by Normann Copenhagen. I hope our girls will now be able to hang their coats so they no longer have to throw them on the bench. I would like to have one big rug on the floor but it's not possible since the door opens inwards. Therefor we only have a smaller rug between the stairs and the bench. We resolved the light problem with Edison the Petit lamp by Fatboy. It's rechargeable and you can switch it on before you start to hang your coat or to look for a pair of shoes. This space will never be really nice without some serious renovation but at least it's now quite functional. Have a lovely weekend!
