Kurssille tarvetta

Viikonlopun jälkeen olisin toivottavasti osannut ottaa nämäkin jouluruusun kuvat paljon paremmin hämärästä ja sumuisesta päivästä huolimatta. Olen näet menossa sunnuntaina Kristan valokuvauskurssille! Vähän jännittää, miten paljon pystyn omaksumaan yhden päivän aikana...

Dopo il fine settimana sarei probabilmente riuscita a scattare foto migliori della rosa di natale, nonostante la giornata sia così buia. Questo perché domenica partecipo al corso di fotografia di Krista! Chissà quante cose riesco ad imparare durante la giornata...

After the weekend I would probably have taken better pictures of this Christmas rose even though the day is really foggy and dark since I will be participating on Krista's photography class! I'm quite excited to see how much I can learn just in one day...

Pientä edistystä

Kodin laittaminen etenee täällä kovin hitaasti. Tuntuu, etteivät muuttolaatikot hupene millään, ja koska vaatekomerot ovat tulossa vasta tiistaina, vaatteetkin lojuvat kasseissa ja erilaisissa kasoissa siellä täällä. Tänään on kuitenkin saatu jo ruokasaliin lamppu kattoon. Tosin tämäkin valaisin saattaa lennähtää jossakin vaiheessa keittiöön, jos keksimme tilaan sopivamman ratkaisun.

Stiamo sistemando la casa molto lentamente. Mi sembra che le scatole non stiano diminuendo per nulla e siccome gli armadi arriveranno solo martedì abbiamo anche tutti i vestiti in borse e pile varie. Oggi abbiamo comunque messo una lampada nella sala da pranzo anche se potrebbe ancora sportarsi in cucina se troviamo una soluzione migliore per questo spazio.

We're advancing really slowly with unpacking and putting the things in their places in our new home. It seems like the number of boxes weren't diminishing at all, and since the wardrobes will arrive only on Tuesday we also have all the cloths in bags and piles around the house. Today we managed to put a lamp in the dining room, though, even though it might move to the kitchen if we find a better solution for this space.

Muuttokaaoksen keskellä

Eilen muuttoauto kurvasi uuden kotimme eteen ja muuttomiehet kantoivat tavarat sisään. Vähän vaikeuksiakin tuli, sillä sohva piti nostaa sisään ikkunasta ja piano jäi vielä toistaiseksi alakerran eteiseen. Suuri osa kalusteista saatiin kuitenkin jo saman päivän aikana paikoilleen ja tänään on sitten yritetty tyhjentää muuttolaatikoita ja löytää erinäisiä tavaroita. Saa nähdä, miten kauan menee, ennen kuin kaikki laatikot on tyhjennetty. Paras kai vain totutella toistaiseksi elämään pahvilaatikoiden keskellä.

Ieri il camion dei trasloci si è fermato davanti alla nostra casa e le nostre cose sono state portate dentro. Non è andato tutto liscio, il divano è stato tirato dentro dalla finestra e il pianoforte è rimasto ancora giù nell'ingresso. La maggior parte dei mobili sono comunque già messi nel loro posto e oggi abbiamo cercato di svuotare un po' di scatole e di trovare varie cose. Chissà quanto ci metteremo a svuotare tutte le scatole. Mi sa che è meglio abituarsi a vivere con le scatole attorno.

Yesterday the removal truck parked in front of our new house and the men carried all our stuff in. Or almost all since the couch had to be pulled in through the window and the piano is still waiting in the entrance hall downstairs. Most of the furniture is anyway in place and today we have tried to empty some boxes and to find the things we need. I wonder how long will it take before all the boxes will be empty. I should probably just try to get used to living with the boxes around.
