Kirppiksen kautta kotiin

Kaiken muun touhun lomassa olen ehtinyt käväistä kirpparillakin ja löytää vähän Suomi-designia: Arabian Ruskaa, Jukka Korpiheteen Kenno-tuikun ja Kaj Franckin lasilautasen. Kauan en saa näitä ostoksia nyt kyllä ihastella, sillä kohta ne ovat jo paperin sisällä muuttolaatikoissa. (Yksiön keittiön asennus muuten siirtyi ilmeisesti kahden viikon päähän, eikä viivästyksestä voitu tietenkään ilmoittaa meille etukäteen...)

Sono riuscita a fare un salto veloce al mercatino delle pulci e a trovare un po' di design finlandese: tazze Ruska di Arabia, portalumino Kenno di Jukka Korpihete e un piatto di Kaj Franck. Non posso ammirare questi acquisti a lungo però, visto che tra poco saranno avvolti nella carta e messi nella scatola. (A proposito della cucina del monolocale, potrà probabilmente essere montata solo tra un paio di settimane e non ci hanno fatto sapere niente prima...)

I managed to do a quick visit to a flea market and found some Finnish design:Arabia Ruska cups, tealight holder Kenno by Jukka Korpihete and a glass plate by Kaj Franck. These beauties will soon be wrapped in paper and put into a cardboard box, though. (By the way, the studio apartment kitchen can probably be installed only in a couple of weeks, but they couldn't inform us about the delay beforehand...)

Ennen lähtöä

Aurinko paistoi ihanasti, kun otin kotona muutaman kuvan ennen kuin muuttokaaos valtaa asunnon.

Yksiön remontti jatkuu

Eilen ehdin viimein katsomaan, miltä yksiössä tällä hetkellä näyttää. Kylpyhuoneessa olikin jo laatat lattiassa ja seinissä, mutta muuten on vielä aika keskeneräistä. Keittiön välisenä on avattu ja nyt koko ikkunaseinä on yhtenäinen, mikä näyttää tosi kivalta ja tuo avaruutta. (Kuvasta tuli valitettavan huono, kun mukana oli vain pikkukamera. Saa siitä kuitenkin jonkinlaisen käsityksen.) Ensi viikolla pitäisi alkaa keittiön asennus, mutta tila ei näyttänyt kyllä ihan valmiilta sitä varten. Täytyy ottaa kai yhteyttä työnjohtajaan.

Ieri sono finalmente andata a vedere la situazione nel monolocale. Il bagno è stato piastrellato ma per il resto è c'è ancora abbastanza da fare. La parete della cucina è stata demolita e ora si vede tutta la fila di finestre. Mi piace molto come rende luminoso lo spazio. (Purtroppo la foto non è riuscita molto bene, perché mi sono portata solo la macchina fotografica piccola. Comunque dà un'idea.) La cucina dovrebbe essere istallata la settimana prossima ma la situazione mi sembra ancora un po' a metà strada. Mi sa che dovrò contattare il direttore dei lavori.

Yesterday I went to see the situation in the studio apartment. The bathroom is already tiled but for the rest there's still a lot to do. The wall between the kitchen and the living room has been demolished and you can see all the windows at once. I really love the light it gives to the apartment. (Sorry, the picture quality is quite poor since I only had a small camera with me. Anyhow it gives you an idea.) The kitchen should be installed the next week but I'm not sure the space is ready for that. I think I'll have to contact the contractor.
