(FI) Kansainvälisenä naistenpäivänä vien teidät kurkistamaan Tukholmassa asuvien ruotsalaisystävieni upeaan kotiin. Kolmilapsisen perheen taloa on kunnostettu vanhaa kunnioittaen ja edellisten omistajien virheitä korjaten. Esimerkiksi uudet ikkunat on tilattu alkuperäisen mallin mukaan, ja hiljattain valmistunut upea keittiö kauniine marmoritasoineen ja messinkisine yksityiskohtineen sopii asunnon tyyliin täydellisesti. Olohuoneen komean kiinteän kirjahyllyn päällä olevat valaisimet ovat vielä kiinnittämistä vailla, mutta muuten talon tämä kerros näyttää varsin valmiilta. Hyllyn keskelle puhkaistiin remontissa uusi oviaukko, jotta olohuoneesta pääsee kulkemaan suoraan tilavalle terassille. Perhe asui välillä jonkin aikaa Yhdysvalloissa, mistä esimerkiksi ruokasalin ruokailuryhmä on tuotu. Muuten värikkäässä sisustuksessa on yhdistelty kiinnostavalla tavalla antiikkia, ruotsalaisia designklassikoita, Ikeaa, matkamuistoja ja modernia designia ja taidetta. Osa seinillä aiemmin olleista tauluista odottaa remontin jäljiltä vielä varastossa. Näitä kuvia varten kotia ei mitenkään stailattu, kuten ehkä esim. keittiökuvista huomaa, ainoastaan perheen tytärten askartelut korjattiin pois olohuoneesta. Eikö olekin aika viihtyisän ja kotoisan näköistä? Minusta on aivan ihanaa vierailla kodissa, jonka tyyli poikkeaa täysin omastani, ja ihailla asukkaiden tekemiä ratkaisuja. Kutsuva ja kaunis koti voi syntyä niin kovin monella eri tavalla. Tärkeää on vain se, että sisustus huomio rakennuksen arkkitehtuurin ja että sisustaja uskaltaa tehdä aidosti itsensä näköisiä valintoja. Kiitos vielä isäntäperheelle vieraanvaraisudesta ja siitä, että sain kuvata kotianne!
(IT) Oggi è festa della donna e facciamo un giro virtuale nella bellissima casa dei miei amici svedesi a Stoccolma. La casa della coppia con tre figlie è stata restaurata con rispettando l'originale e riparando errori fatti dai proprietari precedenti. Per esempio le finestre sono state fatte su misura secondo il modello originale, e la fantastica cucina istallata di recente con i bei ripiani di marmo e dettagli di ottone si sposa perfettamente con lo stile della casa. Le lampade che stanno sopra la grande libreria fatta su misura devono ancora essere istallate ma per il resto il piano giorno della casa sembra piuttosto pronto. In mezzo alla libreria è stata fatta un'apertura per avere un passaggio diretto alla spaziosa terrazza. La famiglia ha vissuto per un po' negli Stati Uniti e per esempio il gruppo pranzo proviene da lì. Per il resto l'arredamento dai colori vivaci è un'interessante miscela di mobili antichi, classici del design svedese, Ikea, souvenir e design e arte moderno. Una parte dei quadri che erano prima appesi aspettano ancora in cantina dopo gli ultimi lavori di ristrutturazione. Per le foto non è stato fatto nessun tipo di styling come si può notare per esempio delle foto fatte in cucina. Abbiamo soltanto tolto i giochi delle figlie dal soggiorno. Non vi sembra proprio accogliente questa casa? A me piace tantissimo visitare in una casa con uno stile completamente diverso del mio e ammirare le scelte fatte dai padroni di casa. Una casa bella e invitante si può creare in tantissimi modi. L'importante è solo rispettare l'architettura originale e di avere il coraggio di scegliere cose che veramente rispecchiano i propri gusti. Grazie ancora ai padroni di casa per l'ospitalità e per avermi dato il permesso di fotografare la vostra casa!
(EN) Today it's the International Women's Day and I'm taking you on a
virtual tour in my Swedish friends' beautiful home in Stockholm. The
couple has three daughters and they have renovated the house respecting
the original and repairing mistakes made by the previous owners. For
example the new windows were made similar the the original model, and
the recently finished fantastic kitchen with its marble counter tops and
brass details suits perfectly the style of the old house. The lights
above the bespoke bookshelf in the the living room still need to be
installed properly but for the rest this level of the house seems
finished. A new opening was made in the bookshelf wall so you can go
directly to the spacious terrace. The family lived for a couple of years
in the States and for example the dining table and the chairs have been
brought from there. For the rest the colourful interior is an interesting mix of
antique furniture, Swedish design classics, Ikea, souvenirs and modern
design and art. Some pictures are still waiting in the basement after
the renovation. We didn't style the house at all for the photos as you
may notice from the pictures taken in the kitchen. The only thing we did
was to collect the craft supplies the girls had used in the living
room. The house looks pretty wonderful and cozy, don't you think? I love
visiting a place that has a complete different style from my own and
just admire the decoration choices the homeowners have made. It's
possible to create a beautiful and inviting home in so many different
ways. The important thing is just to respect the original architecture
and to have the courage to choose things that truly reflect one's own
