Betoniyksiö

Tutuissa merkeissä sujui tämäkin päivä. Nyt yksiö on purettu lähes kauttaaltaan betonipintoihin asti. Tänään sain sellaisen idean, että makuualkovin seinän voisikin rakentaa olohuoneen suuntaan ja jättää eteisen suunnan auki. Oviaukkoon tulisi varmaan kyllä verhot, mutta niin alkovista tulisi ehkä vähän enemmän oikean makuuhuoneen tuntuinen. Väliseinän yläosaan pitäisi kyllä tehdä ikkunat, jotta alkoviin pääsisi luonnonvaloa. No, onneksi suunnitelmaa on vielä aikaa hioa. Odotan innolla sitä, kun remonttimiehet purkavat keittiön seinän ja koko ulkoseinän ikkunat näkyvät kerralla. Entisen seinänpätkän tilalle tulee pieni saareke, jossa on pyörät, jotta sitä voi siirrellä. Makuualkovin ja eteisen seinien levytysten takana oli äänieristysvilloja, jotka oli liimattu seinälle. Sieltä löytyi myös jonkun liimalla tekemä viesti jälkipolville :-). Äänieristykset olivat aika turhat, sillä seinät ovat paksua betonia ja kyseisen seinän takana on vain naapurin eteisen komerot (kysyimme asiaa heiltä ennen kuin purimme rakenteet).

Oggi abbiamo smontato quasi tutte le superfici del monolocale fino al cemento. Oggi mi è venuta l'idea che si potrebbe costruire la parete dell'alcova dalla parte del soggiorno e lasciare libero il passaggio all'ingresso. La parete dovrebbe avere finestre in alto per avere luce nell'alcova. Comunque c'è ancora tempo per decidere sui dettagli. Vorrei già vedere l'appartamento quando i muratori avranno smontato la parete tra la cucina e il soggiorno e si vedranno tutte le finestre in fila. Nel posto del muro ci sarà un'isoletta di cucina su ruote. Dietro i pannelli di truciolato dell'alcova e dell'ingresso c'erano pannelli di lana di vetro attaccati con la colla. Qualcuno aveva lasciato lì un messaggio per le generazioni future (Irja è un nome di donna) :-). L'isolamento acustico non serve visto che dietro la parete ci sono solo armadi nell'ingresso dei vicini (lo abbiamo chiesto prima di smontare i pannelli).

Today we got almost all the demolition done and the surfaces are now cement. Today I got the idea that we could move the sleeping alcove wall on the living room side and leave the entryway side open. The wall should have windows near the ceiling in order the get natural light into the alcove. Anyway, we have lots of time to decide on all the details. I can't wait to see the apartment after the contractors have opened the wall between the kitchen and the living room and you can see all the windows in a row. There will be a small kitchen island on wheels where there's now the wall. Behind the paneled walls in the entryway and the alcove there was fiberglass glued to the cement. Someone had left there a message for the future generations (Irja is a female name) :-). We removed the unnecessary acoustic insulation since behind the wall there is only the neighbour's entryway wardrobe (we asked them before removing the panels).

Yksiön remontti, päivät 1 ja 2

Tämäkin päivä on kulunut purkutöissä, ja homma eteneekin ihan mukavasti. Purkamatta on lähinnä enää eteisen komerot ja seinässä olevat levytykset. Keittiössä uskalsin kokeilla linoleumin irrottamistakin ja se lähtikin yllättävän helposti, joten taidan repiä sen pois kaikkialta, jotta saamme uuden lattian alle tasaisen pinnan. 60-luvulla on muuten käytetty aika reilusti isoja nauloja ja ruuveja kaiken kiinnittämisessä. Ei ole ajateltu, että joku haluaa joskus vaikka purkaa verhokoteloinnit, sillä tiukkaa teki, että saatiin ne irti, ja mukana lähti melkoisia paloja seinää.

Anche oggi abbiamo passato la giornata smontando e il lavoro procede bene. Ora mancano praticamente solo gli armadi dell'ingresso e i pannelli di truciolato su una parete. Ho provato a staccare il vecchio linoleum in cucina e sembra che venga abbastanza facilmente quindi penso di toglierlo dovunque per avere la superficie ben dritta per i nuovi pavimenti. Negli anni '60 hanno fatto veramente un ottimo lavoro ad attaccare tutto con chiodi e viti belli grossi, peccato solo che quando si finalmente staccano le strutture si staccano anche grandi pezzi di muro.

We have been doing demolition works also today and it's coming along nicely. Now we still have to knock down the wardrobes in the entryway. I tried to pull off the linoleum flooring in the kitchen and it came off nicely so I think I'll take it off everywhere in order to get the floor even before installing the new hardwood floors. In the 60's they really did a good work attacking everything with big nails and screws, the problem is only getting the panels off and if you do, you also get big pieces of cement off the walls.

Yksiö ennen remonttia

Aloitimme tänään purkutyöt hankkimassamme yksiössä. Vaikka asunto vaikuttaa kuvissa aika hyväkuntoiselta, oikeasti pinnat ovat hurjassa kunnossa, ja koska asunnossa alkaa ensi viikolla putkiremontti, kannattaa koko pintaremontti ja keittiöremppa hoitaa saman tien. Ensimmäisenä päivänä vanhojen parkettien alta löytyi yllättäen vanhat linoleumlattiat, jotka on liimattu kiinni pohjaan. Niiden irti repiminen taitaa olla epätoivoinen työ, joten ehkä ne jäävät jälleen uuden parketin alle, kunhan niin pitkälle päästään. Vanha portaaton parvi on nyt purettu, samoin verhokoteloinnit ja suuri osa parketista. Nyt meidän pitäisi vielä saada purettua vanha keittiö ja komerot pois ennen kuin putkiremonttifirma valtaa asunnon useaksi kuukaudeksi. (Laitan muuten kaapinovista ilmoituksen huuto.netiin, jos joku vaikka haluaa mökilleen viilutettuja tammiovia, jotka ovat melko siistissä kunnossa ja kunnostettavissa, vaikka itse rungot ovat kostuneita ja kuluneita. Myyntiin lähtee myös vanha jenkkikaappi, sillä uuteen keittiöön tulee integroitu jääkaappi.)

Oggi abbiamo cominciato la ristrutturazione smontando nel monolocale che abbiamo acquistato. Nelle foto non si vede ma l'appartamento è in condizioni abbastanza cattive e siccome cambieranno tutti i tubi e sistema di areazione conviene ristrutturare anche il resto. Abbiamo trovato una sorpresa, sotto il parquet c'era il linoleum vecchio incollato al pavimento. Mi sa che resterà anche sotto il parquet nuovo quando saremo a quel punto. Dobbiamo finire si smontare la cucina e i vecchi armandi prima che l'impresa edile inizi i lavori che andranno avanti per vari mesi.

Today we started the demolition work in a studio apartment we have bought. You can't see it in pictures but the surfaces are all in a pretty bad shape. Since there will be the HVAC renovation in the whole house, it's better to renovate also the rest now. We found a surprise under the old hardwood floors. The old original linoleum floors are attacked with glue. I think they will stay also under the new hardwood flooring once we get to that point. We have to finish all our demolition works before the contractor starts the HVAC renovation that will last for several months.
