2.12. Muistojen joulukalenteri

(FI) Punainen ei ole meillä jouluna kovin käytetty väri, mutta jotain isoa ja punaista kaivan silti vuodesta toiseen esiin joulukoristelaatikosta. Täytyyhän tytärten saada sentään joulukalenterinsa. Kyseinen kalenteri on kulkenut matkassamme jo monta vuotta - muistaakseni ostin sen joskus Stockalta. Havunvihreä nauha puolestaan on muisto Torinossa vietetystä ajasta. Se oli kiedottu torinolaisesta Gurlino Arredamenti -sisustusliikkeestä ostamamme kynttelikön pakkauksen ympärille. Legendaarinen liike on sittemmin valitettavasti suljettu, mutta nauha jatkaa elämäänsä joulukalenterin ripustusnauhana. Kalenterin taskuihin piilotan yleensä erilaisia askartelutarvikkeita, ja viikonloppuna niistä saattaa löytyä myös suklaata.

(IT) Il rosso non è un colore che mi piace usare molto a natale ma tiro comunque sempre fuori dalle scatole una cosa grande e rossa. Le figlie devono pur avere il loro calendario dell'avvento, no? Abbiamo questo calendario da vari anni, mi sa che l'ho comprato da Stockmann a Helsinki. Il nastro verde invece è un ricordo dal tempo passato a Torino. L'avevano avvolto intorno al pacco di un candelabro che abbiamo comprato all'epoca da Gurlino Arredamenti. Il negozio leggendario non esiste purtroppo più ma il nastro continua ad essere usato per appendere il calendario dell'avvento. Nelle tasche ci metto di solito materiale per lavoretti vari  e nei fine settimana anche cioccolato.

(EN) Red is not a colour I like to use much at Christmas but I still pull out of the boxes something big and red every year. The girls do need their Advent calendar, dont' they? We've had this calendar for various years now, I think I have bought it at Stockmann department store in Helsinki. The green ribbon instead reminds us of the time spent in Turin, Italy. It was used to adorn the package of a chandelier we bought at Gurlino Arredamenti interior store. The legendary store doesn't exist anymore but the ribbon continues to be used to hang the calendar. In the pockets I normally hide craft materials and during the weekend also chocolate.
