Glögiä ja joulutunnelmaa

(FI) Vietimme eilen ystävien kanssa meillä pikkujoulujuhlia, joten koti tuli vihdoin siivottua ja koristeltua joulukuntoon. Kuusia löytyy tänä vuonna vain sohvapöydältä, Marimekon sohvatyynystä ja ikkunalta, sillä päätimme jättää ison kuusen hankkimatta, kun ehtisimme kuitenkin nauttia siitä kovin vähän aikaa. Tyttäret koristelivat juhlia varten piparin poikineen ja glögiäkin meni illan mittaan aika monta pulloa. Ensi vuonna uudestaan!

(IT) Ieri abbiamo organizzato una piccola festa di natale a casa nostra quindi abbiamo finalmente pulito e decorato la casa per natale. Quest'anno abbiamo alberi solo sul tavolino, sul cuscino di Marimekko e sulla finestra perché avremmo comunque poco tempo per goderci l'albero grande. Le bambine hanno decorato tanti biscotti allo zenzero per la festa e abbiamo svuotato tante bottiglie di vin brulé durante la serata. Da rifare l'anno prossimo!

(EN) Yesterday we organized a little Christmas party at our home so we finally cleaned and decorated the house for Christmas. This year we have Christmas trees only on the coffee table, on the Marimekko cushion cover and on the window sill because we would have so too little time to enjoy a big tree. Our girls decorated loads of gingerbread biscuits for the party and we emptied quite many bottles of mulled wine during the evening. Let's party again next year!

Maljakkostailausta

(FI) Viime kuussa suorittamaani Blogging Your Way: Intention & Style -kurssiin kuului hauskoja kotitehtäviä, joista yksi oli kuvan stailaaminen mallikuvan inspiroimana. Kun näin tämän kuvan, tiesin heti, että haluan ottaa kuvan omista hyasinttimaljakoistani, joihin yhdistin muita värikkäitä vintagemaljakoita. Kotitehtäväkuvaa ottaessa hyasintit olivat vielä kovin nuppuisia, joten odotin niiden avautumista ja otin vielä lisää kuvia, joissa näkyy myös hyasinttien väri. Mikä kuva on sinun suosikkisi?

(IT) Durante il mese scorso ho partecipato al corso Blogging Your Way: Intention & Style e ho dovuto fare anche compiti a casa. Un compito consisteva nel fare styling per una foto, ispirata a una foto su Pinterest. Quando ho visto questa foto ho subito deciso di fare una foto dei miei vasi in vetro per bulbi. Nella foto ho usato anche altri vasi vintage. Quando ho scattato le foto per il corso i miei giacinti erano ancora molto piccoli quindi ho aspettato che i fiori si aprissero un po' e dopodiché scattato altre foto in cui si vede anche il colore dei giacinti. Qual'è la foto che ti piace di più?

(EN) Last month I participated to Blogging Your Way: Intention & Style course and had to do also some homework. One assignment consisted in styling a photo inspired to a picture pinned on Pinterest. When I saw this picture I decided to take a picture of my hyacinth vases and I ended up using also other vintage vases. When I took the homework picture the hyacinths were still really small so I waited until the flowers opened and took new pictures where you can see also the colour of the hyacints. Which picture is your favourite?

Laskos

(FI) Kristiina Lassus on suomalainen kansainvälistä uraa tehnyt muotoilija, jonka töitä olen aina ihastellut. Esimerkiksi hänen mattomallistonsa on niin kertakaikkisen upea, että ostohalujani hillitsee ainoastaan mattojen korkea hinta. Joulukuun alussa tuli myyntiin hänen Kera Interiorille suunnittelemansa valaisin Laskos. Valaisin on valmistettu akryylista ja sen värivaihtoehdot ovat opal, creme ja musta. Oma suosikkini on valkoinen punajohtoinen valaisin, joka sopisi hienosti kaunistamaan ja valaisimaan meidän pimeää eteistä. Kera Interiorin uutuusmallistossa on monta muutakin hauskaa valaisinta, kuten Pentagon Designin Flip-pöytävalaisin ja Jonas Hakaniemen sateenvarjon muotoinen Umbrella, joten kannattaa tutustua niihinkin täällä.

(IT) Kristiina Lassus è un designer finlandese che ha fatto una bella carriera internazionale e che ho sempre ammirato. Per esempio i suoi tappeti sono bellissimi e ne vorrei subito comprare uno se il prezzo non fosse un po' alto per il mio budget. Dall'inizio di dicembre è in vendita la nuova lampada Laskos progettata per Kera Interior. La lampada è fatta di acrilico ed è disponibile in tre colori, opal, creme e nero. La mia preferita è quella bianca con filo rosso che sarebbe perfetta per illuminare il nostro ingresso buio. Tra le novità di Kera Interior ci sono anche altre lampade interessanti, tra l'altro la lampada da tavolo Flip di Pentagon Desing e Umbrella di Jonas Hakaniemi quindi conviene dare un occhiata qui.

(EN)  Kristiina Lassus is an internationally known Finnish designer that I have always admired. For example her rugs are so beautiful that only the price stops me from buying one. Her new Laskos pendant designed for Kera Interior was launched at the beginning of December. It's made of acrylic and available in three colours, opal, creme and black. My favourite is the white version with red cord that would be perfect to illuminate our dark entry hall. Kera Interior's new collection includes also other interesting lamps, such as table lamp Flip by Pentagon Design and Umbrella by Jonas Hakaniemi, so I advise you to have a look here.
