josta jokainen postaa omasta näkökulmasta. Tässä kuussa

ihana Suvi haastoi meidät miettimään, mitä kodikkuus itselle merkitsee, ja
esittelemään oman kodin kotoisimman nurkkauksen. Onpa jännää nähdä kuun
lopussa Suvin koosteesta, miten erilaisia kodikkuusnäkemyksiä postauksista löytyy!
Minulle oli heti selvää, mikä kohta kodissamme ansaitsee kodikkaimman leiman, mutta huomattavasti hankalampaa on määritellä, mikä tekee juuri tästä olohuoneen kulmauksesta niin viihtyisän. Kuten kuvista näkyy, kalusteet, valaisimet ja tavarat vaihtuvat aina välillä, mutta kodikkuus on ja pysyy. Luulenpa, että se liittyy tässä tapauksessa nurkkauksen funktioon. Tämä on paikka, johon voi istahtaa hetkeksi selaamaan penkillä olevaa sisustuskirjaa, jäädä vilttiin kietoutuneena katsomaan elokuvaa tai uppoutua lukemaan romaania. Tuolin vieressä on valaisin, joka antaa lempeän valon, kahvikupille löytyy laskupaikka ja penkillä voi olla palamassa kynttilä tai sitä saattaa piristää kaunis kukkakimppu. Nurkkaus liittyy kiinteästi rauhallisiin hetkiin ja omaan aikaan. Siinä ei tarvitse hoitaa työasioita eikä tehdä veroilmoituksia. Luulenpa, ettei kovin moni meistä ryhmäläisistä valitse kotoisimmaksi paikaksi kotitoimistoa tai työpöytänurkkausta.
Jos sen sijaan mietin kodikkuutta noin yleisemmällä tasolla, mieleen nousevat päällimmäisiksi harmonia ja paljon puhuttu kerroksellisuus. Pienissä neliöissä yhtenäinen tyyli ja selkeys tuovat kaivattua avaruutta, mutta mitä enemmän tilaa on, sitä enemmän erilaisia elementtejä sisustuskin tavallaan sietää. Tämänhetkinen kotimme on arkkitehtonisesti melkoista sillisalaattia, joten sisustus on luontevasti lähtenyt samalle linjalle ja kotiin on päässyt esineitä, joita en meidän Suomessa olevaan 70-luvun rivitaloasuntoon voisi kuvitellakaan. Kaipaisin kyllä kovasti selkeyttä ja neutraaliutta olemassa oleviin pintoihin tunteakseni oloni todella kodikkaaksi. Nyt pyrin muulla sisustuksella kiinnittämään huomion pois vähemmän silmää hivelevistä yksityiskohdista. Miksi ihmeessä saksalaiset haluavat päällystää kaikki seinäpinnat ja jopa sisäkatot levottoman näköisellä röpelöpintaisella puunpaloja sisältävällä Rauhfaser-tapetilla ja kuka kumma on valinnut tähän taloon punaruskeat ikkunanpielet kellarikerroksessa yhä näkyvien alkuperäisten valkoisten tilalle, kysyn vaan.
Eri tyylien ja uuden ja vanhan sekoittaminen sisustuksessa ei ole aina helppoa, mutta kun valitsee itselle mieluisia asioita, lopputulos on yleensä kiinnostava ja ainakin asukkaiden näköinen. Toisaalta taitavasti tehty äärimmäisen minimalistinenkin asunto voi olla todella kodikas, kurkatkaapa vaikka
Norm Architects -toimiston tekemiä sisustuksia. Myös monen ystäväni luona on mielestäni todella kodikasta, vaikka tyyli olisi täysin erilainen kuin meillä. Ehkä voisinkin muotoilla oman näkemykseni seuraavasti: kodikkuus muodostuu siitä, että asukkaat uskaltavat antaa oman persoonansa ja makunsa näkyä sisustuksessa. Per questo mese la simpatica Suvi dal blog Valkoinen Harmaja ci ha chiesto di riflettere su
cosa rende una casa accogliente e qual'è il posto che troviamo più invitante
nella propria casa. Sarà interessante vedere a fine mese le varie
opinioni sulla questione!
Per me era subito chiaro qual è il posto più invitante a casa nostra ma è molto più difficile definire perché proprio quest'angolo del soggiorno è così accogliente. Come le foto mostrano, l'arredamento è in continua trasformazione ma l'atmosfera intima rimane. Penso che abbia a che fare con la funzione dell'angolo. È un posto dove ci si può sedere per un attimo a sfogliare un libro di arredamento, mettersi a guardare un film avvolti in una coperta oppure a leggere un romanzo. Accanto alla poltroncina c'è una lampada che dà una luce diffusa e gentile, c'è un posto dove appoggiare la tazza di caffè, sulla panchina c'è a volte una candela accesa oppure un mazzo di fiori. Questo è un posto per passare momenti tranquilli e rilassanti. Non è il luogo dove si deve pensare al lavoro oppure fare la dichiarazione delle tasse. Sono convinta che non molte di voi sceglieranno lo studio oppure l'angolo con la scrivania come posto più accogliente della casa.
Se invece penso su un livello più generico, direi che le cose importanti sono l'armonia e la giusta miscela di elementi diversi. In una casa piccola è meglio uno stile più continuo e tenendo l'arredamento lineare e semplice la sensazione di spazio aumenta ma più grande è la casa e più elementi diversi può in un certo senso avere senza perdere l'equilibrio. La casa dove abitiamo in questo momento mescola stili architettonici diversi ed è stato naturale continuare questo eclettismo anche nell'arredamento. Ho portato in casa elementi d'arredo che non potrei mai avere nella nostra casa lineare anni '70 in Finlandia. Vorrei però avere le superfici molto più tranquille per sentirmi veramente a casa. Ora cerco di arredare in modo che non si notino troppo gli elementi poco estetici. Mi piacerebbe sapere perché i tedeschi vogliono coprire tutte le pareti e pure i soffitti con carta da parati Rauhfaser ruvida con pezzi di legno all'interno e chi ha scelto le finestre in legno invece delle finestre originali bianche che si vedono ancora in cantina?
Mescolare stili diversi ed elementi vecchi e nuovi non è sempre facile ma quando si scelgono le cose in base ai propri gusti di solito il risultato è interessante e almeno dice qualcosa degli abitanti della casa. D'altro canto anche una cosa estremamente minimalista ben realizzata può essere veramente calorosa ed invitante. Guardate per esempio gli ambienti creati dai Norm Architects. Anche tanti amici nostri hanno case in cui mi trovo proprio bene anche se lo stile non è per nulla simile che da noi. Forse la cosa più importante è che gli abitanti abbiano il coraggio di far vedere i propri gusti e la propria personalità nell'arredamento. Secondo voi qual'è il segreto per creare una casa accogliente?

Valkoinen Harmaja invited us to write about a cozy home and to show the coziest corner of our own homes. It's going to be exciting to see at the end of the month on Suvi's blog how different ideas we have on the matter!
For me it was quite obvious which place I would choose but it's far more difficult to analyze why I find this corner so cozy. As you can see in the pictures, the decor continues to change but the cozyness remains. I think it has something to do with this corner's function and use. This is a place where you can sit for a while and flip through a coffee table book, watch an entire film wrapped in a blanket or read a fascinating novel. The table lamp next to the chair gives off a gentle light, there's a place where to put down the coffee cup and on the bench there's often a candle or a bunch of flowers. The corner has to do with calm and relaxing moments. It's not a place for working or filling in the tax form. I'm pretty sure that not too many of us will choose the home office or the desk as the coziest place.
If I think of cozyness on a more general level, harmony and a good mix of different elements are two important factors. In a small apartment a style continuum helps to add feeling of spaciousness but a bigger one can contain more different elements without loosing the balance. The house where we live at the moment is a mixture of different architectural styles and it felt natural to continue the same thing in the decoration. I have brought in some pieces of furniture that I would never have in our 70's house in Finland. Anyhow, I would love to have more elegant and simple base for the interior because now I'm trying to decorate in a way that you don't notice the less attractive solutions. It would be nice to know why on earth the Germans want to cover all the walls and also the ceilings with busy ingrain wallpaper and who has chosen the wooden windows for the house when the original windows in the basement are white.
It's not always easy to mix different styles and old and new elements but if you only choose things that you really like, the result is normally interesting and at least tells something about the homeowner. On the other hand, even a really minimalistic interior can be really cozy. Just check out the interiors designed by
Norm Architects. Also many of our friends have a really cozy home even ef the style is completely different from our own home. I think I could say that a home is cozy if the owners have the courage to let their own personalities and taste show in the interior. What do you think is the secret to a cozy home?
