Keväistä

(FI) Ulkona on riehunut koko viikonlopun talvimyrsky, joka on tehnyt kaupungilla jonkin verran tuhojakin, mutta meidän olohuoneessa vallitsee suorastaan keväinen tunnelma. Lähikukkakaupasta ostamiini oksiin on puhjennut ihanat vaaleanpunaiset kukat, ja kun joulukoristeet on kerätty pois ja kuusi heitetty kadun varteen, huone tuntuu muutenkin ihanan avaralta ja rauhalliselta. Otin nämä kuvat itse asiassa jo eilen, mutta ehdin vasta nyt koneen äärelle, joten lähetän kuvaterveiset päivän myöhässä Ninjalle ja koko lauantaiselle kahviporukalle. Hyvää alkavaa viikkoa!

(IT) Fuori c'è stata tempesta tutto il fine settimana e si vedono anche alcuni danni in giro, ma nel nostro soggiorno c'è un'atmosfera quasi primaverile. Ho comprato questi rametti dal fioraio vicino e ora cominciano ad essere pieni di bellissimi fiori rosa. Dopo aver tolto tutte le decorazioni di natale e buttato l'albero tutta la stanza sembra proprio spaziosa e calmante. In realtà ho fatto queste foto già ieri ma sono riuscita a sedermi davanti al computer solo ora perciò mando i miei saluti fotografici a Ninja e al circolo del caffè con un giorno di ritardo. Buona settimana che comincia!

(EN) There's been a winter storm outside all the weekend with also some damage around in the city but in our living room there's almost a spring feeling. I bought these branches at the nearby florist's and now lots of beautiful pink flowers are opening. After removing all the Christmas decoration and throwing out the Christmas tree the whole room feels really spacious and calm. I took these pictures actually yesterday but I haven't had time to sit by the computer so I'm sending my photo greetings to Ninja and all the Saturday Coffee Club with one day's delay. Have a nice new week!

(FI) Menun hauska uutuusnaulakko Afteroom toi heti ensi näkemältä mieleeni Charles ja Ray Eamesin vuonna 1947 suunnitteleman Small Dot -kuosin, joka koristaa kuvassa Vitran torkkupeittoa. Meidän kotiin kumpi tahansa näistä sukulaisista olisi oikein tervetullut!

(IT) Il nuovo appendiabiti Afteroom di Menu mi ha subito portato il mente il motivo Small Dot, disegnato da Charles e Ray Eames nel 1947, che nell'immagine sopra decora una coperta di lana di Vitra. Questi prodotti sarebbero entrambi molto benvenuti a casa nostra.

(EN) Menu's new coat hanger Afteroom reminds me of Charles and Ray Eames's pattern Small Dot, designed in 1947, that in the picture is used in a Vitra wool blanket. I really wouldn't mind having either of these products at home.

Blogivuosi käyntiin

(FI) Hyvää uutta vuotta! Joululoma meni vauhdilla ja nyt olemme taas palanneet arkeen täällä Saksassa, vaikka matkalaukkujen purkaminen on vielä vähän kesken. Koulukin alkoi jo eilen, sillä täällä loppiainen ei ole yleinen vapaapäivä. Valkoinen joulu saapui Suomeen kuin tilauksesta yhtaikaa meidän kanssamme, ja ehdin ottaa vähän kuvia kauniista maisemasta ennen kuin vesisade sulatti joulun jälkeen lumet. Tyttäret pääsivät hiihtämään, pulkkamäkeen ja tekemään lumiukkoja, ainoastaan Rautatientorin jääpuisto jäi kokeilematta, mutta onneksi täälläkin on jäähalli, jotteivät luistelutaidot ihan ruostu. Suurin osa lomasta kului luonnollisesti sukuloidessa ja ystäviä tavatessa, mutta buukkasin ohjelmaan myös muuta mukavaa, joten tiedossa on jokunen aika kiva postaus ja Instragramiakin kannattaa käydä kurkkimassa.

(IT) Buon anno nuovo! Le vacanze di natale sono passate in fretta e ora siamo tornati alla vita quotidiana in Germania, anche se non abbiamo ancora finito di svuotare le valige. Pure le scuole sono cominciate ieri perché qui il giorno dell'epifania non è festivo. Quando siamo arrivati a Helsinki è arrivato anche il bianco natale e sono riuscita a fare un po' di foto del paesaggio bellissimo prima che la pioggia sciogliesse la neve dopo natale. Le figlie sono state a sciare, sono andate in slitta e hanno costruito pupazzi di neve, abbiamo saltato solo il Parco del Ghiaccio nella piazza della stazione ma per fortuna possono andare a pattinare anche qui a Brema. Abbiamo naturalmente passato la maggior parte del tempo visitando parenti vari e amici, ma sono riuscita a infilare nel programma anche altre cose interessanti quindi prossimamente ci saranno alcuni post proprio belli qui nel blog e conviene anche dare un'occhiata a Instagram.

(EN) Happy New Year! The Christmas holidays are over and we're back to the everyday life in Germany, even though we still haven't finished unpacking the suitcases. Also the school started yesterday because the Epiphany is not a public holiday here. The white Christmas arrived to Helsinki almost as our plane landed and I managed to take some pictures of the beautiful landscape before the rain melted most of the snow after Christmas. Our girls went skiing and sledding and built snowmen, we only missed the Icepark at the Railway Station Square but luckily it's possible to skate also here in Bremen. Most of the time we obviously visited relatives and met friends but I managed to put in our program also some other nice things to do so there will be shortly some quite interesting posts here on the blog and it really pays to have a look also at my Instagram.
